Ancient symbol the peyote bird, rich with history and lore. I like this squash blossom necklace! The chip inlay is greenish blue, the sterling has a nice dark patina, the birds are strong and bold, together they look lovely! This necklace is 115 grams, 26 inches long, the birds are 2 1/4 x 1 1/8 inches long and wide. The beads are about 7.5 mm, nice and smooth, strung on a square sterling chain.
No hallmarks that I can find. Very much a 1970s look. Condition: very good, while it has a lot of patina, the necklace over all is in very good condition.
