Vintage Zuni Large Cluster Ring Eighteen Turquoise Stones Sterling Sz 6.75

  
Striking old Native American cluster ring. No distinguishing hallmarks or signature that I can see. Exact age and origin unknown. I think it is Zuni because of the cluster design with small stones, but I'm not 100% sure. I bought it at a trading post gallery in Santa Fe many years ago. I do not know its repair history. It is used and vintage and has an aged quality with 18 turquoise stones set in sterling silver.

See photos for condition of stones. These stones represent a variety of colors but may have changed color over time due to porosity of the stones and their contact with the oils inherent in human skin. From a collector's perspective, this characteristic often demonstrates an authentic history of wear.

Both round and teardrop shaped stones. I have not polished the silver. Approximate measurements across face of ring: 1" wide by 1 1/2" long.
