Vintage UNOAERRE 925 ITALY Mariner Link Anchor Chain Necklace & STERLING Pendant

  
This vintage necklace from UNOAERRE is a beautiful piece of Italian jewelry history. This is such a interesting looking pendant necklace. Not sure if they were always together or married later on, but they both appear to be vintage--the pendant more so with tarnish and the word STERLING is wearing off on its side. There is also either letters or numbers in the same area on the pendant, but hard to make out.

Really hard to discern but all the markings are on the loop section under the trident shape. Not sure what the figure represents, but with the maritime/anchor link chain and the Trident, maybe something to do with the sea? Okay, total amateur stab at it, but I do know it is silver and so is the chain. The chain is signed near spring clasp; 925 ITALY UNOAERRE.

I know the signage denotes it was made by UNOAERRE, a company that has been around for over 90 years. Chain measures 24 1/2 from end to end and weighs 27 grams. Pendant adds another 11 grams to the total weight of piece and measures about 1 1/2 Really a beautiful piece that probably symbolizes something--but not sure what.
