Vintage Sterling Silver Billy Royal Western Arab Show Bridle Headstall with Blue

Beautiful vintage show headstall by Billy Royal. The large detachable conchos are marked with a triangle logo and "Sterling Overlay Mexico Cortes Co". The silver is engraved and has a golden jewelers bronze edge in a floral design with small blue stones. This bridle has large silver conchos on both sides as well as on the bit slides.

The conchos can be easily removed for cleaning or using on a different piece of equipment. The headstall adjusts by sliding if you have never used this style before the metal keeper slides down and you adjust the leather by sliding it into the next hole and sliding the keeper back in place.

Once you do it a few times, it is very simple to use and adjust. The bit ends clip into place on the sliding keeper with the concho attached.

Photos #7 & #8 show the slide style attachments. This bridle adjusts from 36"- 39" from bit clip end to bit clip end measured side to side over the top of the crown. I believe it should best fit an Arabian or small headed horse. This listing is for the headstall only and does not include the reins. The color is a chestnut with slightly lighter color stitching.

This bridle is in excellent condition. The leather is in excellent condition. The silver has left some dark marks on the leather under the conchos but these should be hidden unless you are punching holes and doing a lot of adjustment. Overall this is a gorgeous bridle!
