Too many cheap copies of my work out there. Colorful geometric design in purple and teal.
Sterling Silver 925 Chain 18. Pendant measures 28mm long by 25mm across - just over 1" by 1".This piece was made by first drawing out the design. Then the frame was cut out from a sheet of sterling silver. The enamel is done by hand so each piece is a little bit different. Both sides of this piece are finished with gems on one side.
If you want a more casual look you can wear the side without gems outward. You will see both sides in the photos.
My pieces have been featured at the Orpheum Theatre and also at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Please note that my items are photographed under LED lighting or outside on my back deck, so this is what the item looks like in natural light.I do not adjust color or "photoshop" the images. Please keep in mind that not all monitors show color the same way so there may be some slight difference in color. Ne]) is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects. In recent centuries, vitreous enamel has been used, and inlays of cut gemstones, glass and other materials were also used during older periods. The resulting objects can also be called cloisonné.
Enamelling goes back to ancient times when glass enamels were used in metalwork. This enabled the jeweler to use glass instead of rare gems.Enamels are fine particles of glass applied to metal to add color. Usually enamels are dry sifted onto the surface or by wet packing the enamel into channels or cut out areas in the metal. The enamel is then heated until it softens and flows.
