The smallest garnets average about 2 mm in size while the largest ones average about 4.8 mm in size. The center garnet is about 3.8 mm in size. They all have similar semi-transparent deep red to bright red hues. Stone Treatment: The stone(s) appear to be untreated, but we are not certified gemologists. Stone(s) have been tested and guaranteed using a professional Presidium Duo refractive, heat, and hardness tester.

This beautiful brooch features countless Bohemian Garnet stones in an elegant starburst motif. There is a center Bohemian Garnet stone, then a floral burst pattern that leads into a 5-point star motif.

In-between the points of the star are pear cut Bohemian Garnets and behind that layer is a 6-point star motif. These layers are all lines with Bohemian Garnets. This piece has a lovely gold wash.

The gold wash may be wearing in some areas revealing the sterling silver base metal underneath it. There is also some tarnishing in some areas, which is to be expected of an item this age. The wearing gold wash and tarnishing are barely visible from the front and occur mostly on the back of the piece. However, the price of this item has been reduced to reflect this.
